In order to continue the good work started in school, Edco is delighted to extend the use of Bua na Cainte to parents and pupils who are at home during this challenging time.
 
To access Bua na Cainte’s interactive programme at home, for a limited period, please follow the instructions below.

Go to www.edco.ie/bua Select the file which suits your computer PC or MAC Select the Class Level you require, and then click on it to start a download of the file. Once the download has completed, click on the file to install and follow the on-screen instructions. A Bua na Cainte icon will appear on your desktop. Once you select this icon a login page will open where you will need to enter the details included below.  
The login details below can be used for all class levels.

What you need:
A sock
500g/1kg of rice
Buttons
Ribbon
String
​Cushion pins
Method:​
  1. Cut the toe off the sock.
  2. Tie the opening of the sock with string or thread.
  3. Using a funnel, poor rice into the sock through the funnel.
  4. Tie the opening with string or thread securely. 
  5. Create a head by tying string around the body.
  6. Use glue to attach 2 buttons for eyes, cushion pins to form mouth and bobbin for nose. Be as creative as you wish.

They built model castles at home with the help of family. They really  enjoyed making the castles and today they presented them to their class. Other pupils created the castles using Minecraft and I was very impressed by their skills and knowledge.  Well done to everyone who completed the project on time. Jamie made a gingerbread house with his dad and he presented to the class today. The class were very impressed and especially  when they saw the secret stash of sweets!
