Microsoft Dreamspace Ambassador Programme

Dreamspace Ambassador's Graduation
Pupils from our school received certificates at a special award ceremony in Microsoft Dreamspace, Dublin. The Microsoft Dream Space Ambassador Programme is a student leadership initiative that empowers pupils to become STEM and digital technology role models. Facilitated by the Microsoft Dream Space team, the programme trains students to learn advanced tech skills and subsequently mentor their peers and teachers.
Aoife, Liam, Àine and Philip had a very enjoyable day out at Microsoft Ireland Head quarters. They participated in 4 workshops involving Minecraft, coding and gaming. They had a tour of the magnificent building built in 2018 for 150 million euro. The day finished with presentation of Certificates. Our school received platinum badge, the highest achievement awarded.

Fyffes Fittest Schools Ulster Finals 2026

Well done to the 16 children representing our school at the Ulster final of Fyffes fittest school today. We finished in 2nd place to Raphoe,Donegal. Everyone had a great day and put in a huge effort. We are very proud of them all!

Cumann na mbunscol Girl's Football 2026

Congratulations to 4th 5th and 6th on their wonderful performance in the girl's cumman na mbunscol football. They are through to a final in Breffni Park.

FAI 5-a-side schools Competition 2026

FAI 5-a-side Soccer Tournament
Boys from 4th, 5th & 6th class took part in a soccer tournament today in Baileborough. Although they didn't reach the final they played some great soccer and plenty of goals were scored. They were a very mannerly group of boys and were a pleasure to manage.

Visit to Ballyjamesduff Museum

Our tour today was very enjoyable,we learned lots from Catherine,who prepared a fantastic powerpoint for us. We walked around the famine exhibtion and then outside to the trenches.The chilsren were very enthusiastic and answered really well.Catherine was blown away with their knowledge.
If you havn't been to the museum it comes highly recommended.A fabulous resource on ourdoorstep!

Fyffes Fittest Schools Ulster Finalists 2026

We are jumping for joy with the news that our school is through to the semifinal of the Fyffes Fittest school in May.

St. Patrick's Day Parade 2026

St. Patrick's Day Parade
Well done to all the pupils and their families who took part in the Kilnaleck parade. I heard our school was brilliant! According to the Parent's Association you were definitely the brightest bunch and possibly the loudest!
I wish to thank Caroline, Chairperson of the Parent's Association, and the PA committee for entering our school in the parade. It was a great idea and we were delighted with the response.

World Book Day 2026

World Book Day 2026.
We had a lovely day in school celebrating World Book Day. Pupils got to dress up as their favourite book characters and looked fantastic. We also did shared reading which was fun.
