Ballyhaise college
On Thursday the 25th of January we went to Ballyhaise college to learn about farm safety. First, we went into the classroom and Cormac, Àine's brother, talked to us about the rules on the farm. After that we went to see the animals. We saw the cows, sheep and baby lambs. Next, we went to the milking parlour where the cows are milked twice a day. We went to see some farm machinery which included a quad and some tractors. You must be 16 to drive a quad and 14 to drive a tractor. We finished with a quiz and we are going to do a colouring competition on farm safety. Here are some photos of our visit. by Lucy Smith Operation Transformation’s Nationwide Walks, in conjunction with Sport Ireland and the Local Sports Partnerships, will be taking place in 80 venues across 26 counties at 11AM. on Saturday January 13th.
