On the 28th of April 2016, a man called Charlie Wynne came to the school to talk about various types bullying.
He talked about the effects of bullying and what it can do to a person.
Charlie Wynne is the founder of "I'm a Friend" anti-bullying campaign.
He told us lots of stories about bullying and how a ten second comment can stay with you for ten years. He told us to stand up to bullies and they will shy away from you.
He told us about the logo on the “I’m a Friend” keep card and pin, and told us what inspired him to put the eye on the logo. He got inspired when he saw the effects of blindness in people in poorer countries such as countries in Africa and he wanted to donate money to get surgery for blindness- after all, it only costs them nine euro in those poorer countries. He also told us that there's 20% of bullies in the world and 80% of good people in the world it was so fascinating the way he explained it to us and the bullies go more the attention than he good people should get the the bullies got 80% of the attention and the good people got 30% of the attention .It was interesting how many types of bullies there are in the world around us .He also talked to us about how he got bullied in school .
We enjoyed his talk and parents had the opportunity to meet Charlie Wynne that evening.
