Badminton Lunchtime league

11/24/2016

Congratulations to all the boys and girls in fifth and sixth class who took part in badminton training and the lunchtime league over the past two months. The league culminated this week with the Boy's and Girl's finals. The Boy's final was played off on Tuesday and involved Karl and Michael against Diarmuid and Killian. Karl and Michael won out in straight sets 11-7, 11-7. The girl's final was played out on Wednesday and involved Claudia and Blaithín against Eimear and Caoimhe.  Claudia and Blaithín emerged victorious after a closely fought match that went to three sets. The final scores were: 11-6,  9-11, 15-13. I would like to thank all the children for their participation as they have all learned some new skills and have shown this on the court. Badminton will recommence after Christmas.
